義父母と合奏

Visited my parents-in-law's house with my daughter and her friend R. This time the ensemble was historic for two reasons. 1) My husband accompanied my mother-in-law for the first time on the double bass. 2) Three generation ensemble (grandma, father, daughter) for the first time. R. could have played cello but we didn't have one, so she tried the double bass and she actually did a great job. We ate together and talked, then played more music together, ate more and talked more. It was a fulfilling day.

娘と娘の友人Ｒを連れて義父母の家に行きました。６人全員が何かしら楽器を弾くのでおかしな合奏大会になりました。義母のバイオリンと主人のコントラバスが合奏したのははじめてのことです。そこに娘が参加して、３世代合奏という珍しいシーンも出現しました。Ｒは本来チェロ弾きですが、残念ながらチェロが無かったので、ピアノを弾いたりコントラバスを弾いたり歌ったりし、義父もフルートを久し振りに吹きました。一緒に食事をしてまた合奏してまた食べて、楽しい一日でした。
