Prof. O. of UVa is spending the summer in Seoul with his family. His wife J. is from Korea and her parents still live there. We decided to visit Seoul to see Prof. O's family (and of course to eat great food).ソウルを訪問したわけは、Ｏ先生（バージニア大学心理学部）とご家族にお会いするため（とおいしいものを食べるため）です。Ｏ先生の奥様のＪさんは韓国の方で、この夏はご家族でソウルに滞在されています。

What a wonderful town Seoul is! It's an exciting mixture of old and new, with beautiful rivers and mountains and of course with lots of delicious food.美しい自然に囲まれたソウルは古いものと新しいものが混在するダイナミックな町です。もちろんおいしいものがたくさん！
Our hotel was located in Insadong (one of the northern districts of central Seoul) where you can find many interesting antiques and handicrafts, and numerous street food vendors that reminded me of old Japanese streets (sort of...).我々のホテルは仁寺洞というところにあり、アンティークショップや屋台が並ぶ町並に少し懐かしさをおぼえました。
With only two dollars, you can take a picture in a traditional Korean dress like this (don't laugh...). I made a new pair of glasses because eyeglasses are very cheap in Korea and it took only ten minutes! (No, not the reading glasses but a pair of near-sight eyeglasses.)２００円でこんな写真を撮ることもできます（誰？今、笑ったのは？）。それとなぜか眼鏡が安くてなんと１０分間でできてしまうので、ひとつ作りました（いいえ、老眼鏡じゃありません、近眼用です）。

私も昔韓国に行ったときにチマチョゴリの記念撮影しました♪
着物よりも着やすいから観光に向いてるな～って思います。
ただいま～。いや～、どんなふうに着るのかなと思っていましたが、これでなぞがひとつ解けました（長生きはするもんだ）。ウォンが安いのでなんでもとってもリーズナブルなお値段でお得な感じなのです。
最近、韓国行くなら今！だって聞きます。いいですね～私も行きたい（笑
韓国は食べ物が美味しくて幸せですよね（辛いものが苦手だとキツいかな・・・）

久美子さん、おっしゃる通り韓国はおいしいです！辛いだけじゃないです。食材のバラエティが素晴らしいです。「今」行ってください（！？）。あさみさん、暑くなくて（っていうか二日目は大雨でした）ラッキーでした。スン君のところもこの夏韓国なんですよね。すみません、みんなでうらやましがらせてしまって・・・。
